Family CHAUMONT Wine-growers is in Cote Chalonnaise since 1640. At the beginning of the last century, the big father of GUY CHAUMONT has already cultivated the grapevine at half-time while holding a Cafe in Saint Desert, a neighbouring village.
In 1920 he becomes full-time farmer in alloying polyculture, animal growing and viticulture.
After 1945, Guy’s father and uncle will cultivate only the grapevine. The step towards the organic farming will begin in 1965 with advice of the home ”Lemaire et Boucher”.
Guy becomes established in 1976 and will go on in this commitment.
The vineyard of the department of Saone and Loire is the geographical heart of the Burgundy between the Cote d’or and Beaujolais. His north party, the Coast Chalonnaise is the natural continuation of the coast of Beaune, lands of which it has.
Our winery is organic since 1965.Its area is about 5.5 hectares, which allows to produce 7 different appellations.
