Wine region in central Italy
found roughly between the cities of Florence and Rome.
Landlocked Umbria’s famous white wine is Orvieto,
which can be either dry or semi-sweet (amabile). To the
east, the red and white wines of TORGIANO, produced
south of the city of Perugia, are also celebrated, largely
thanks to the high standards of a well-known producer,
Lungarotti.
