VdP (now IGP) Collines Rhodaniennes, north of or across the river from St. Joseph
,Stainless steel fermented
,Certified Organic,Clean, juicy syrah. Starts dry, finishes dry. Medium body. Cranberry, black cheery, black raspberry flavors. Black pepper and a little red spice on nose and palate.
|2009 "This is an excellent example of a basic cool climate Syrah. It's well balanced, without a lot of fat. It still shows plenty of black plum fruit and black pepper spice. There's a hint of animal lurking in the background, but I wouldn't call in funky. It's a great wine for the price, and is a very versatile wine with food. I would happily serve it with any meat from chicken to beef. Lamb is a particularly good match. For those who care, it's organically grown."
