French wine-producing region located east of Paris, most famous for the sparkling wine produced there, although the area produces red, white and rosé wines as well...Champagne can range from dry to sweet, and the color can be any shade from light yellow with a greenish tinge to a deep pink rosé. The bubbles, or mousse,should be small and rapid – scientists have calculated that there are 2 million in the average glass of champagne.
