|2008: 90 Points - Antonio Galloni, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2008 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano shows lovely intensity in its dark fruit, grilled herbs, licorice and earthiness. This, too, is another feminine, graceful wine with gorgeous length and a polished, harmonious personality. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015. "
2008: 90 Points - Ian d'Agata, Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellars: "Deep ruby-red. Much darker aromas than those of the Rosso di Montepulciano: black cherry, dark plum, coffee and loam. Also shows more herb and tobacco notes in the mouth, to go with chunky, ripe dark berry and plum flavors. The long finish features chewy tannins and an earthy note of aromatic herbs. This is not my preferred style of sangiovese wine, as the perfume and red fruit character of the variety is overcome by darker fruit and earth tones. Still, this is a very well-made, supple wine. "
