Our Unfiltered Chardonnay has a devoted following of wine lovers who appreciate this rich, unfiltered style of wine. Our Chardonnay vineyard in Carneros was planted nearly 30 years ago and this region has since become known for producing superb cool-climate Chardonnay.
At harvest, our winemaker works closely with the harvest crew, walking the vineyard rows to hand select fruit at the peak of ripeness. In the cellar, quality and purity are never compromised at the hands of convenience. Newton Unfiltered Chardonnay is fermented with wild yeast, native to our Carneros vineyards, and is bottled unfiltered to preserve the natural fruit essence and to foster the wine’s unique aroma and flavor.This exceptional dedication to nurturing the richness that nature provides allows Newton Vineyard to produce wines of brilliance and purity.

|2012 Unfiltered Chardonnay
The warm 2012 vintage resulted in a complex, rich and powerful chardonnay with aromas of jasmine, apricot, grapefruit and subtle spice. The palate is fresh with a creamy texture marked by notes of stonefruit, pear and roasted almonds which is complemented by a subtle soft acidity leading to a rich, long and intense finish.
Food & Pairing
With its benchmark balance of fruit and acidity, our Unfiltered Chardonnay is delicious with a wide range of dishes, from roasted sea bass to pasta in a butter sauce. It makes a lovely aperitif served with crostini topped with wild mushrooms or truffle-flavored popcorn, an ideal first course wine with lobster bisque or oysters, and a memorable wine for a cheese course.
