Masi Campofiorin 2010

Masi Campofiorin 2010

Review
Ruby red color; dry with a complex nose of plums, prunes, leather, cinnamon spice and violets; dry, medium-to full-bodied with generous fruit on the palate; well balanced with a nice backbone of spice and tannins.

Rating
2008: 88 Points - Ian d'Agata, Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellars: "Deep ruby. Red fruits, chocolate and vanilla on the nose. Rich and suave in the mouth, with ripe red fruit and chocolate flavors that are ample but lack a little complexity. Finishes smooth and moderately long. The word brolo is equivalent to the French clos (a walled vineyard); this wine is made from a special selection of the best grapes available, all native and mainly corvina. "

Food pairing
Red meat, sharp cheeses, osso bucco, wild mushroom risotto, veal parmigiana.
