|The Château Graville-Lacoste 2013 is a blend of Sémillon (70%), Sauvignon Blanc (20%), and Muscadelle (5%). Rich, full aromas and a clean finish. Cháteau Graville-Lacoste is a white Bordeaux marked by the meticulous crafting of winemaker Hervé Dubourdieu. Dubourdieu is know for his exceptional white Bordeaux from the Graves appellation as well as his Sauternes.
Graves are not your standard white Bordeaux. The abundance of Sémillon in this specific blend offers a fuller body and more vibrant aromas compared to the white Bordeaux made primarily of Sauvignon Blanc. The soil--made up of clay, red iron, limestone and flinty gravel--boosts the stoney aromas and fresh minerality. You can truly pair the Gaville-Lacoste with almost anything, but it does especially well with fish, poultry and fresh vegetables.
