Oremus Tokaji Eszencia 1975

Eszencia is the most noble and sumptuous of Tokaj wines. On the date of the harvest, the excessively ripened fruit is collected by hand grain by grain and stored in large containers until the end of the harvesting. The weight of the piled grapes is enough in itself for the formation of a type of syrup in the bottom of the container, which flows through the grills situated at the bottom of the containers. This extremely rich nectar, which looks like honey, slowly ferments in small barrels for many years. It is said that the Eszencia has medicinal properties due to its high concentration of minerals and vitamins.
