This has a lovely dark currant, warmed plum and steeped blueberry core, inlaid with cocoa and melted black licorice. Everything flows through the rich, velvety finish, with a note of black tea weaving in. Drink now through 2020. 750 cases imported.-JM

(14.9% alcohol): Bright ruby-red. Red berries, licorice and smoky graphite minerality on the nose. Boasts great fruit intensity and sweetness but with harmonious acidity framing the red berry and spice flavors. Finishes with dusty, ripe tannins and outstanding building length. Wonderfully spicy, concentrated, tactile wine with a great future. Winemaker: Abrie Beeslaar.
