Belle Glos Pinot Noir Blanc Brugioni Vinieyard 2011

Belle Glos Pinot Noir Blanc Brugioni Vinieyard 2011

Sku: 016320

The style of this wine, traditionally known in France as oeil-de-perdrix (eye of the partridge), has been made by my family, using Pinot Noir grapes, for 37 years. Producing this wine requires a gentle hand and a readiness to press the juice quickly once it reaches the desired level of color. It is a true-to-the-roots style that is not a by-product of a red wine. The juice is partially fermented in French oak barrels, which add enough rich texture and light spice to beautifully complement the generous fruit flavors.

Tasting notes
Vibrant rose-salmon color. Pronounced aromas of ripe strawberry and green apple are supported by an undertone of light oak. The flavors are lively with cranberry and citrus zest notes. The full, lush mouth feel is balanced by a brisk acidity and mineral elements, leading to a long-lasting finish.

Food pairing
Please enjoy this wine very well chilled. Finished with a twist-top to preserve the crisp, clean aromas and tastes, it is well matched with picnics, bbqs, light dishes or enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
