L'Ecole No. 41 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2011

L'Ecole No. 41 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley 2011

Sku: 017218

This wine shows a classic Cabernet Sauvignon profile of firm structure, integrated tannins and dark expressive fruit. With its classic old vine varietal Cabernet profile, this focused wine shows layers of dark fruit, coffee, spicy herbs, and juicy extract. Flavors of plum, black berry, and cocoa mingle with firm yet balanced tannins through a long, expressive finish. Pairs with grilled meats, roasted root vegetables, and snowy evenings in.

Along the same lines, yet with additional complexity, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla gives up plenty of plum, blackberry, underbrush and wild herbs in a medium to full-bodied, rich and beautifully textured, palate. It picks up a touch of dry tannin on the finish, so it’s not something to hide away in the cellar. Nevertheless, give it a year or two and plan on drinking over the following 5 to 7 years.
