Still young and tightly wound, the 2010 Teroldego Granato shows just a sliver of the complexity and intensity that makes this such a celebrated expression of Trentino’s most important indigenous red grape. There’s a great sense of balance here on the bouquet with blackberry, raw spice and plum. But the high, biting acidity remains out of place given the young age of this wine. I’d suggest giving it a few more years to integrate before popping the cork.
