This too is very fresh and layered with an intense white flower, orange peel and just cut lemon that dissolves gracefully into mineral-infused and relatively powerful flavors that are blessed with ample amounts of dry extract that confer a velvety and textured mouth feel onto the extremely rich and moderately exotic finish. An impressive effort that is more about size and weight than finesse

| 2006: 90 Points - Steve Tanzer, International Wine Cellars: "Bright aromas of citrus fruit, minerals and white flowers. Peach, pear, citrus and floral flavors are enlivened by a strong impression of rocky minerality. There's an austerity here in the context of the vintage (I might have picked it blind as a more strict Chassagne such as La Romanee) but this projects a strong personality and finishes with lovely mineral persistence. Give this plenty of aeration or hold it for three years." |
