Terrazas de Los Andes Cheval des Andes 2010

Terrazas de Los Andes Cheval des Andes 2010

Sku: 022186

A joint venture between Terrazas de los Andes and the legendary Chateau Cheval Blanc in Bordeaux. The vineyards are located on a select parcel of the most treasured terroir in Argentina, and made up of ungrafted vines dating back to 1929. The wine is made in the spirit of Cheval Blanc, yet displays the fruit intensity of its Argentinean roots.

 Wine Spectator 88 points (Dec 31 2014)
Firm, with a beefy essence to the ripe dark fruit and cranberry flavors. The taut finish features notes of graphite and white pepper. Drink now through 2017. 3,500 cases made.-KM
 Vinous 94 points (Feb 2015)
(60% Malbec and 20% each Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot; two years in new French oak): Saturated bright ruby. Pungent, inky aromas of blackberry, espresso, bitter chocolate, wild herbs and crushed rock. Boasts superb ripeness for a wine from a cool year, offering sneaky sweetness to the dense, palate-saturating flavors of dark berries, licorice and minerals. Combines outstanding delicacy and energy, communicating a weightless impression. Finishes with noble tannins and outstanding subtle length. This joint venture between Cheval Blanc and Terrazas de los Andes is consistently one of Argentina’s classiest bottlings. 94+ Points
