Honig Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Honig Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Sku: 023347

A warm, dry spring brought early bud break, helped with canopy vigor and berry size and created ideal conditions for flowering and fruit set under sunny skies. With the exception of one heat spike in late June/early July, temperatures were consistently in the zone for optimal vine activity, resulting in notably healthy vines as fruit went through veraison and started ripening.

Wine Spectator:
On solid footing, with sassy tannins, this offers a core of mocha, blackberry and dark berry flavors that are pure, dense and chewy, accented by tobacco leaf and cigar box notes. Drink now through 2023.

James Suckling 91 points (Jan 2016)
Lots of blackberry and cherry aromas and flavors with hints of toasted oak. Full body, round and velvety texture. Fresh finish. Drink.

Wine maker notes
Plenty of ripe, wild berry and plum aromas and flavors, framed by vanilla, spice, and toasty oak. Lush mid-palate tannins flow into a lengthy finish accented by bright fruit.
