Foradori Teroldego 2013

Foradori Teroldego 2013

750ML
Sku: 025433

My love and admiration of Elisabetta Foradori’s Teroldego goes back many vintages. The wines are a pure and graceful expression of a grape she championed and brought back from near obscurity, during a time when other growers from Trentino were replanting their vineyards with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. All of her Terlodego vineyards are Biodynamically farmed and Demeter certified. Throughout the years, some of her mentors in Biodynamics have included Didier Dagueneau, Marc Kreydeinweiss and Giusto Occhipinti, to name just a few. In the cellar, she carries the purity of the vineyard into the bottle, working with amphorae and old chestnut barrels. Her wines are genuine and honest, a pure and generous expression of her terroir and discerningly tasteful.

The darkly colored 2013 Teroldego has aromas and flavors of violets and dark berries, with fine-grained tannins and perfect balance. There is a certain freshness that keeps it lively and focused and brimming with glimmering energy. Drink it slowly (if you can) to allow the layers of complexity to fully evolve and reveal their true inner beauty.

Wine maker notes
Campo Rotaliano is a well-demarcated geographical area, a sort of recess of the Adige Valley tucked between the mountains.

Its history and origin are closely attached to the Noce River, which, over the centuries, has deposited huge quantities of limestone, granite and porphyry debris. This small plain, depending on the soil composition, distinguishes itself for its various microzones bearing various names given by the local vintners.

The blending of the different wines of these microzones, with their various features, gives our “Foradori” wine.
