| The vintage of 2009 brought us more warmth, which allowed us to pick the leader of this blend, Grenache, with optimal ripeness levels. All other varietals for this cuvee were also helped by the warm vintage, allowing for complete tannin maturity, creating a softer and more complex wine. The Syrah was hand harvested in early October followed by Grenache, Mourvedre and Counoise in late October, all with low yields of 1-2 tons per acre. |
