The 2010 Chianti Classico Querciabella represents a big change in direction from Querciabella, as it is the first vintage to be made entirely from Sangiovese, including fruit from recently acquired vineyards in Radda. Sweet roses, red cherries and licorice are some of the notes that emerge from the glass. The 2010 is really mostly about textural finesse. Floral notes reappear on the refined, understated finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018.
