This austere red has muscular tannins that tamp down the dark flavors of fig, cola, mushroom and licorice. There's good density and a polished texture, and this should bloom once the tannins relax. Best after 2010. 500 cases imported. –TM

Generous, ripe aromas mark this blend of garnacha, cabernet and syrah, a confluence of fig, blackberry, raspberry and raw meat scents. Ample and warm in the mouth, it has tremendous depth of flavor accompanied by penetrating acidity, unexpectedly bright given the ripe context. A round wine to accompany morcilla with potato purée.
