Juicy and fresh. If you think Malbec is simply too beefy for summery sipping, pop the Hacienda del Plata into the fridge or cooler. Take the temperature down a notch, and see how the wine truly shines. Pay attention to the fruit and texture, or don’t. You just may get distracted by its deliciousness.

2009: 88 Points - Steve Tanzer, International Wine Cellars: "Bright full red. Aromas of blackberry, cherry, licorice and violet. At once savory and sweet, with a slightly chunky texture to the flavors of black fruits and menthol. This tactile wine offers good palate presence and ripeness and finishes with chewy tannins."
