|Located in the village of Orschwihr and established in 1691, Domaine Valentin Zusslin is a biodynamic estate now managed by 13th generation brother and sister team of Jean-Paul and Marie Zusslin.
Zusslin’s Crémant d’Alsace Brut Zéro Sans Soufre NV, a blanc de blancs sparkling wine, is a blend of primarily Pinot Auxerrois with Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. The grapes are grown in the historic Clos Liebenberg (“lovely hill”), a walled vineyard where horses are still used to work the land.
Like all Crémants in Alsace, it’s made in the traditional method, but “sans soufre”—without sulfur. “Brut Zéro” means no additional sweetener was added, giving this bubbly its crisp and fresh flavor profile. The combination of older vines and maturation on lees give the wine its concentration and ripeness.
With refreshing acidity, Zusslin’s Crémant is the ideal party wine or perfect with food when paired with sushi, sashimi, oysters and other seafood dishes.
