Spring Seed Chardonnay Four O'Clock 2010

Peter and Anthea Bosworth planted vineyards in McLaren Vale, South Australia, in the early 1970s. Now run by their son Joch and his partner Louise, they began conversion to organic viticulture in 1995, and are now fully certified 'A' grade organic by "Australian Certified Organic", a process that takes four years and involves yearly audits of the vineyards and random sampling of the fruit.

The 2008 Spring Seed Four O'Clock Chardonnay, made from a single vineyard and without the use of any oak, has the flavor of pure,bright sunshine in a bottle. Named for late afternoon-blooming flowers, it has an inviting aroma of stone fruits and citrus with clean, fresh flavors and a firm and focused finish. Wonderful as an aperitif and well suited to lighter meals and versatile food pairings.
