Dave Pickerell, with over 20 years of experience in building distilleries, and over 14 years as Master Distiller of Maker's Mark, is constructing his magnum opus – America's fist single estate whiskey distillery at WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, VT. To realize his vision of making the finest whiskies in the world, he partnered with Raj Bhakta, proprietor. Bhakta shares Pickerell's passion for whiskey, and married it to his vision of transforming his Vermont farm into a showcase of sustainable organic agriculture. All inputs will be grown organically on the 500 acre farm, utilizing American craftsmanship and sound, sustainable business practices.
