The 2006 Chianti Classico Brolio is a rich, weighty Chianti packed with dark fruit. The wine possesses good depth and volume in a ripe, fruit-driven style that is likely to provide its greatest drinking pleasure over the next few years. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2012. ”

Shows amazing aromas of blackberry, with hints of vanilla and flowers, along with black licorice and crushed berries. Full-bodied, with wonderfully caressing, ultrafine tannins. Very balanced and long. Best after 2011. 6,170 cases made. --JS
