Espelt Saulo 2008

Espelt Saulo 2008

Sku: 043350

Pure Terroir. Saulo embodies the spirit of the wild, the mountain and the wind.

Espelt Saulo Garnacha is produced northe east of Spain close to the mediterrenean sea and the Pyranees. Made with Garnacha grown on sanday soils called "SAULO", aged two months in new French oak. The wine is vibrant, fruity and earthy with layers of dark fruit and bright, clean acidity with long luscious finish.

2008: 88 Points - Josh Raynolds, Steve Tanzer's International Wine Cellars: "Deep ruby. Spicy, pungent aromas of red berries and herbs, with a hint of cola gaining strength in the glass. Juicy and gently sweet, offering lively raspberry and cherry flavors and notes of candied rose and cracked pepper. Nicely restrained red wine with good finishing lift and spicy persistence."

Technical notes
Wine type - Unoaked, young, fruity red wine. Variety - 50% Lledoner negre (Grenache) | 50% Carignan.

Food pairing
Saulo is perfect whenever we feel like drinking a light red wine to go with easy, homemade food: pork tenderloin, grilled chicken, grilled vegetables, pasta with tomato sauce, omelettes and fritattis.
