This estate is located in Bordeaux's smallest appellation just north of the village of Saint Emilion and the estate and vineyards date to the Gallo-Roman epoch. Letters from the Roman Consul and poet Ausone to Rome indicate that wine from this estate was served on the table of Cesar. Extensive archaeological excavations have resulted in spectacular discoveries, including a Venus and a Diana, the later which now resides in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
St. André Corbin was recently taken over by the dynamic Saby family, owners of numerous other estates in the region. Prior to 2003, the vineyards were managed and the wine marketed on an exclusive basis by Jean-Pierre Mouiex, renowned for his top quality wines. The Saby family has been making wine in the Libournais region for 9 generations. Both of the current family winemakers are oenologists, and they make the most of their modern expertise while respecting their father's grandfather's traditional knowledge.

Food pairing
