45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 20% Petit Verdot. Beautiful deep color, garnet red. Bouquet opening with roasted coffee notes, mixed with hot and spicy tones and ripe red fruits. In the mouth, the opening is rich with a full tannic feeling, showing power, concentration mixed with nuances of licorice, soft spices and candied fruits.

Wine maker notes

Chateau l’Argenteyre was created in 1992 by Messieurs Philippe and Giles Reich, who decided to vinify their wine themselves. This 27 hectare estate is located in Begadan, in the northern most part of the Médoc, where all of the up and coming Medoc producers are making wine today. Château L’Argenteyre is made from old vines. This select wine is known for consistent quality and excellence and is considered a reference among the new up-and-coming Médoc wines. It has won awards every year, beginning with its first vintage in 1992. In June 2003, Chateau l’Argenteyre was one of a very few new estates to become classified as “Cru Bourgeois.”

Food pairing

Pairs well with roasted lamb, beef and wild game dishes, as well as Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Delicious with hard cheeses, especially aged cheddars, blue cheese and camembert.
