Review

La Universal "Dido" is a blend of Garnacha, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Masterfully blended by Sara Peres and husband Rene Barbier Jr. The wine exemplifies terroir and history. Modern styled blend with nuances of dark-dried fruits, leather and earth with mineral touches and socculent acidity. Long flavors of dark bitter chocolate and freshly roasted coffee blend well with lots of dark fruit nuances. Great finish!

Technical notes

“This denomination allowed me to express with wine something different that I could not do in the Priorat. Montsant, because of its climate and soils, afforded me the opportunity to look for the most feminine side of wine: elegance, mystery and freshness through the Cariñena variety.” - Sara Perez
