Pratello Lagarder Riesling 2010

Pratello Lagarder Riesling 2010

Sku: 044158

100% Riesling (biodynamically farmed) in the area of Padenghe sul Garda, on the hills of Lake Garda in Lombardia. Elevation is 820 meters above the sea and the soil is morainic, which means it originates from the rocky material eroded from mountains with the passing of glaciers in pre-historic times.

Showing a floral, mineral nose that follows on the palate. An elegant, balanced wine displaying subtle savory qualities, and possessing a focus that craves another gulp. It pairs exceedingly well with sushi. This is one of the most sophisticated Italian Rieslings we’ve tried. If you’re a Riesling fan, you must add the Lagarder.

Technical notes
Case production: 2,900. Vinification: Cold maceration 46°F of the destemmed grapes for 48 hours followed by a soft pressing and a decanting into steel barrels where the fermentation starts and lasts about 15 days at a temperature of 62°F. The wine ages for 4 months in stainless steel, and then rests in the bottle for 6 months.
