Owned by the six generation winemaking family of Germain-Saincrit, Chateau Charron's 18 hectare estate is situated in the appellation of Premieres Cotes de Blaye on the right bank of the Gironde. Here perfectly drained clay-lime soil benefits from magnificent South, South-East exposure.
The "les Gruppes" Cuvée is typically made from 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Merlot majority gives this wine an undeniable touch of finesse, flexibility and elegance: all characteristics which are beautifully complemented by the Cabernet Sauvignon tructure. Maturing in 400 litre barrels gives velvety, supple tannins with great structure.
Cuvée les gruppes effortlessly accompanies traditional cuisine, stews, grilled meat, game and cheese.
