The estate is located at the northwestern part of the appellation, with soils comprising of fine gravel and sand, with clay in some areas and a high overall presence of iron oxide known locally as "crasse de fer". The average vine age here is more than 30 years old, planted to 70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2008 offering posesses elegantly bright flavors of cherry and redcurrant, with great minerality, and well structured tannins. This is a traditional Pomerol at a fantastic price.
