From the owner's of Chateau Cantenac, this Lussac is light bodied, loads of fruit and grippy tannins.

| Here's another super 2009 Bordeaux from Frans and Liz Roskam and the Roskam Brunot family. Producing quality Bordeaux for 70 years, including Cru Bourgeois and St. Emilion Grand Cru, the younger generation (Liz and Frans) got their enology degrees from the University of Bordeaux and now manage 65 acres between two estates. Liz was the first American woman to receive the French Diplome d'Oenologie from Bordeaux. Only 2,500 cases of this lush, great value Lussac St. Emilion were produced. The grapes come from a vineyard at one of the highest points in the region surrounding a mill from the 1700's. The vines average 25 years of age and get ideal exposure. A blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It shows medium body with ample berry and herbal notes along with chewy tannins and a lingering finish. Tremendous value! |
