Andau is a unique wine farming town in the Burgenland region of Austria. Located at the Hungarian border, this area has more sunny days and higher temperatures than any other place in Austria. The climate is perfect for making very ripe and bold red wines. Zweigelt is the most widely grown red grape varietal in Andau. Full-bodied, hints of dark cherries, spice and chocolate, aged 12 months in used oak casks. Perfect with beef, lamb, duck, game and cheese.
