Dievole Vendemmia is a beautiful expression of the famous Chianti Classico appellation of Tuscany from a classic vintage. With a rich history dating to the year 1090, Dievole is considered among the top producers in Tuscany. Vendemmia Chianti Classico is a blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% other native Tuscan grapes, hand-harvested from all 16 of Dievole's vineyards.
Dievole Vendemmia Chianti Classico is deep ruby red in color with a fruity nose of dark berries, ginger, white pepper and spice. Medium-full in body with moderate acidity and lean tannins, this red offers flavors of black cherry, blackberry, chocolate, and smoke, with well integrated sweet oak. Aged for 12 months in 80% oak casks and 20% French and American oak barriques. It combines power and elegance, and is nicely balanced to enjoy now or to cellar for 7-8 years. The finish is rich, long and silky.
