Amancaya Malbec-Cabernet Gran Reserva 2012

Amancaya Malbec-Cabernet Gran Reserva 2012

Sku: 050059

Amancaya, as its elder, presented an harmonious balance between the Argentinean and Bordeaux styles. A more fruity style coming from the higher percentage of Malbec. The word AMANCAYA is the native indian name of a flower of the Andes that you can find in the Mendoza area.

 Wine Spectator 87 points (Jun 15 2015)
A medium- to full-bodied red, with notes of sandalwood to the cherry, dried red currant and plum flavors. Spicy and cocoa powder accents show on the fresh finish. Drink now through 2017. 13,500 cases imported.-KM

Wine maker notes
Deep crimson color. The nose presents aromas of red and black fruit, with red currants and plums, and a little mint and cedar. The bouquet fills out with notes of vanilla, spices and mocha from the French oak. On the palate, the tannic texture is pleasant and well balanced. The tannins are refined and gentle. There is a pleasant sensation of softness in the mouth.

Technical notes
30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 70% Malbec
