This wine comes from vineyards in Finca Ygay, in the Rioja Alta. Marqués de Murrieta reserva 2008 is a blend of 85% Tempranillo, 8% Garnacha Tinta, 6% Mazuelo and 1% Graciano. It ages for 20 months in American oak barrels of which at least 8 were new barrels. It then stays in the bottle for at least 12 more months before going on sale.

Spicy aromas lead to flavors of vanilla, cherry, fresh herb and mineral in this expressive red. Though oaky notes are prominent, there's a core of focused fruit, and the light structure is fresh and balanced. Graceful and alluring. Drink now through 2021.
|The Marques de Murrieta Red Reserva pairs well with red meats and cured ham as well as grilled fish and dishes with rich sauces. We recommend you decant the wine 20 minutes before serving it at 16º to 18ºC.
