Technical notes
In Spanish "Raleo" means green harvest. The practice ofthinning grape clusters prior to maturity thus concentrating the vines mature flavors in fewer grapes. At our vineyards in Vista Flores, Valle de Uco, Mendoza. 30% of the clusters were cut down well before were harvested to make this fine Malbec. We aged 60% of the wine for 9 months in French and American oak barrels; the rest was left unoaked to enhance the fruity flavors of the blended wine.
