Castello di Querceto Chianti Classico 2010

Review
The nose is a lovely blend of ripe red fruits, with floral violet notes and a darker spicier side reminiscent of a higher quality Chianti.
The palate is a medium bodied affiar, with soft rounded flavours of red and purple fruits, plum, some cherry and a slight hint of raspberry. The tannins are very fine and delicate, the overall sensation is a soft rounded wine but the acidity is relatively high, giving the wine a freshness of texture throughout.

Rating
2010: 89 Points - Bruce Sanderson, Wine Spectator: "Smooth and opulent for Chianti, exhibiting black currant, violet and licorice flavors. Bright and balanced, with a long finish of fruit and mineral. Best from 2014 through 2021. "

2010: 88 Points - Antonio Galloni, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The 2010 Chianti Classico emerges from the glass with big, generous fruit supported by the firm tannins of the vintage. Black cherries, plums, smoke and licorice wrap around the plush finish. This is a fairly large-scaled style for the year. There is more than enough depth in the fruit to make me think the 2010 will drink nicely for a number of years. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. "
