The 2011 Legend Mevushal, as listed on the label, is a blend of 40% Petite Syrah, 35% Petite Verdot and 25% Shiraz, aged in a mixture of French and American oak for 16 months. It comes in at 14.5% alcohol. This is quite fine, showing an elegant mid-palate with some pop and power on the finish, together with all those earthy Syrah notes on the nose. Not overly concentrated, it is light on its feet, yet still tasty and rather persistent. It drinks beautifully. Graceful, complex and completely charming, this will be simply a pleasure to drink with a meal. Drink now-2023.
