Tasting notes
Opaque, textured and incredible. This is a classic "orange" wine, and has cemented Dirty and Rowdy Family as one of my new favorite wineries in the USA. Ben 09/16/12

Wine maker notes
In color and opacity, this looks like an Allagash White™. The Mars Curiosity Rover couldn’t shine a laser through its Semillon haze. This is the biggest of our wines, but by no stretch is it big wine. The combination of the skin and the concrete egg fermentation created two complimentary sets of textures and aromatics. Serve at cellar temperature, give’r some air, and watch this over the course of the meal. Elevation 400 feet Varietals: 100% Semillon Vinification Method: The 2+ ton lot was divided into 2 separate, native fermentations — 1 portion was pressed and fermented in our concrete egg, and the second portion was destemmed and skin fermented in an open top fermenter (foot tread or punched down 1-2x a day). Both lots were combined just before bottling in Feb. 2012. Bottled without filtration. Elevage: Two barrels (100% neutral French oak) and one 160 gallon concrete egg (racked into 3 neutral French oak barrels post fermentation)
