Grapes were hand picked and hand sorted twice ~ 100% de-stemmed 5-day pre-fermentation cold maceration ~ 14 days total cuvaison Indigenous yeast fermentation (Sangiacomo & Wildcat) Began indigenous yeast fermentation, then inoculated at 1/3 ferment with W15, RC212, RA17, Burgundy Yeast separate tanks Native malolactic fermentation in barrel Batonnage (stirring of the lees) in barrel once every week for 3 months Aged 11 months in 100% French oak: 40% new / 60% blend of 1 & 2-yr. old New Coopers: selection of fourteen different Burgundy cooperages Bottled 100% unfined and unfiltered on September 1, 2010

Tasting notes
This elegant garnet-hued Pinot has a young finesse rarely seen in such youth. The nose hints at Bing cherry and raspberry. On the palate you will taste these bright red fruits, and its lushness and crisp acidity hints at rose petals. This, along with a bit of tanned leather and young tobacco, make for a lively Pinot! Strong and lingering finish.
