Argum Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sku: 056764

Argum Oak (ROBLE) is Blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 4 months in Bordeaux barrels French and American oak. 6 months in bottle before its release. Color: cherry-red with blue trim and ruby. Upper middle layer, clean and very bright. Aroma: Intense red fruit smell all ripe, spices, light notes of vanilla and toasted a richbackground. Taste: Tasty, well structured, with good balance, developing the character of high quality tannins. It looks elegant, with very good concentration of fruit, large and persistence, standing feelings of coffee, cocoa and red berries. Comprehensive finalwith delicate spicy, long and intense. Recommended dishes: Red meats, roasts, stews and all types of hunting, well curedcheeses, blue and foie.

Tasting notes
Pale yellow with greenish tones. Aroma: Big nose, withgreat aromatic potential, recalling citrus and floral. Mouth: nice and light step, denoting his youth. With a balanced acidity and subtlefeelings of carbonic own fermentation, making this wine very fresh in the mouth. With an intense persistent aftertaste.

Argum Oak Roble is my go-to red for summer. This tasty and elegant red has great structure but also has a ready to drink quality that is rarely found in blends of this kind. The combination of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot creates a wine with notes of coffee, red fruit, and cocoa that ends with a long, consistent finish, leaving you longing for another sip.

Viñedos y Bodegas el Castillo is located in the DO of Castilla La Mancha, where the winery is nestled in the heart of the Route of Don Quixote. Manuel's main philosophy for his estate-owned and operated vineyards is to harvest the best fruit of each vine while closely monitoring the growing season. This practice ensures that he produces a wine of superb quality and balance that is worthy of his land and labor. I believe Manuel's best attribute as a winemaker is his ability to work with a large variety of grapes, to find harmony among them, and to produce some of the best cuvées I have tasted from Spain.

Food pairing
Argum Oak Roble is a perfect summertime red. A delicious recipe that comes to mind is Grilled Flank Steak with Peppercorns and Balsamic Vinegar. Serve it alongside a watercress salad with radishes and red onions. Perfection.
