Frenzy Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sku: 056797

FRENZY is a name inspired by the myriad, uncontrollable forces of nature that must fall into place in order to make great wine. It also connotes the numerous, vivid aromatic and flavor characteristics you will find in our New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Priced to offer exceptional value, FRENZY doesn’t compromise in its display of peach, grapefruit, lime, melon and fresh-cut grass characteristics, all enveloped in a brisk, refreshing acidity that will complement a wide range of foods. In just a few years, the success of this wine has exceeded our expectations and we are pleased to continue to craft this wine using high-quality Sauvignon Blanc that is highly expressive and an exceptional value.

Tasting notes
Intensely aromatic and lively, bursting with flavors ofpassionfruit, dried herbs, gooseberry and citrus. The palate is dry and vibrant with a racy acidity and typical fruit intensity. Enjoy chilled as an apéritif, or match with fresh seafood.

Vineyard Profile
FRENZY Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from selected vineyards located on New Zealand’s South Island, including the famous Marlborough region, which is ideally suited to this varietal. The soil is composed of volcanic Greywacke stones and alluvial river silt.

Vintage Report
The 2013 growing season in New Zealand was perfect for grapes, with an extended summer/fall drought bringing warm, sunny days but cool, clear nights, which locked up flavors and allowed the grapes to retain good acidity. Harvest took place in April 2013.

The wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks with selected aromatic yeast strains, and bottled young to retain the lively fruit flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc grape.
