|Malvasia Fina is the local clone of Malvasia, brought by the Romans. Winemaker Luis Lorenzo delivers a solid, medium body with nice richness extending through a long finish. Aromas are very clean: white floral with a touch of honeysuckle. On the palate it is dry with briny minerality, and just a touch of peachy fruit on the mid-palate.
Mono-varietal wines are not common in the Dao, but they are with winemaker Luis Lourenco who treats each varietal nobly. This fits right in with his other single bottlings like Encruzado, Touriga Nacional, and Jaen.
