|Vineyard: All estate owned vineyards on pure slate with very steep inclines. Most of the vineyards are terraced. Merenzao is the local name for this grape which is known as Trousseau in France and Bastardo in Portugal. The average age of the vines are 80 years.
Orientation: South facing in the Amandi sub zone.
Soil: slate or "losa" as it is locally known.
Viticulture: The vineyard work is all done by hand including harvest. Fernando Gonzalez is in charge of the viticulture and practices biodynamics.
Vinification: The winemaker is consulting oenologist Raul Perez. The wines are fermented with wild yeasts. The grapes are foot troden in large oak fermentation vats.
Aging: Aged in old French oak barrels for 12 months and 12 months in bottle.
Production: Average annual production is 2,000 bottles.
