Nora Da Neve Albarino was born in a single vineyard in the picturesque valley on the Mino, the great river of Galicia. Our vineyard overlooks the last leg of the river's long journey to the Atlantic. The 20 Year old vines are surrounded by pine and Eucalyptus forests dotted with the ruins of Ancient Celtic fortresses. In the midst of this poetic landscape, AlBARINO, grown in a unique combination of alluvial gravel and sandy granite, the grapes ripen slowly. The wine immediately draws your attention with aromas of ripe red apples and white peaches. On the palate Nora Da Neve has a superb balance of fresh fruit flavors and a rich silky texture.

The grapes for the 2009 Nora da Neve were sourced from a single 4.4 acre vineyard and fermented and aged for 7 months in French oak, 50% new. Light gold in color from the oak aging, it offers up a toasty mineral, peach, and apricot bouquet. In the glass it opens to reveal a round texture, savory stone fruit flavors, excellent ripeness, and a lengthy finish. Drink this pleasure-bent offering over the next 3-4 years.
