Chateau Mazeris Canon-Fronsac 2009

Chateau Mazeris Canon-Fronsac 2009

750ML
Sku: 065454

A rich, layered wine from a right-bank mainstay.

Review
Deep purple color to the edge. Fine purple and red fruit aromas with plenty of cut. Slightly closed from the early days of primary fruit opulence. Fine, slick approach on the palate with excellent intensity and subtle layers of purple and red fruit. Excellent structure and balance, arguing for at least a decade of graceful aging. Drink now with winter fare (great with meats, stews and cheese), but make sure to set a few bottles aside for 2011 and beyond

Rating
2009: 89-92 Points - James Suckling, Wine Spectator: "Loads of fruit, coffee and chocolate character. Woody. Full and velvety, with a long finish. Concentrated. A delicious and generous young wine. "

2009: 90 Points - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate: " A top-notch sleeper of the vintage from Jean-Luc Thunevin, this Canon Fronsac has loads of fruit, full-bodied, voluptuous texture and a certain elegance coming form the fresh acids and beautiful purity. The wine possesses a long finish, but unlike several of the Fronsacs, it could use some cellar time. This wine can be drunk now or cellared for up to a decade."
