Sku: 065951

Intense and lively Sauvignon Blanc with passion fruit, grapefruit and lime aromas, racy acidity and a sleek finish.

This wine is clear, crisp and fruity with light yellow-green, transparent color. On the palate it is refreshingly crisp, sparkling, soft and sumptuous, showing great complexity, very fresh and crispy with a nice structure at mid palate showing tropical fruits, peaches, pineapples and citrus accents.

Wine maker notes
A crisp and fruity wine. Light yellow-green color; bright and clear. The aroma shows pure and intense Sauvignon Blanc character, showing the potential of its cold-zone origin in coastal Leyda Valley, where the morning fogs and low temperatures prolong the hanging period.

2013 vintage. This wine is clear, crispy and fruity with light yellow-green transparent color. 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Unoaked in order to maintain the freshness and crispiness of the Sauvignon Blanc from Leyda Valley.

On the nose it shows tropical fruits as fresh lime, passion fruit, fresh pineapple along citric accents.

On the palate it is fresh and crisp, sparkling, soft and sumptuous, showing great complexity, white grapefruit, lime and gooseberry fruit character, medium body and a long finish. A powerful coastal climate Sauvignon Blanc with an impressive overall freshness and elegant minerality.

Technical notes
Vintage 2013 was notoriously cool across all grape growing regions of Chile, with growers declaring it the coldest vintage of the decade. The Leyda Valley was no exception to this, with extremely wet conditions in January increasing the threat of botrytis and demanding that producers adopted rigorous disease control measures. Unlike other regions, a lack of rain in the weeks leading up to harvest meant that picking for the Sauvignon Blanc was able to commence during the late weeks of March, within a relatively normal time frame. As a result of these cooler conditions, the whites show excellent acidity and freshness, with lower than average alcohol and bright aromatics.

Food pairing
Highly recommended with razorback clams with parmesan cheese, salmon ceviche, Chilean sea bass, shrimp garlic.
