Tasting notes
Fresh aromas of honey, dried apricots, peaches and dried spices. Mouth: Soft and supple with mild acidity and pineapple flavors

Review
This unique, fragrant, lip-smacking wine gracefully treads the line between off-dry and bone-dry, and so it can pair with a myriad of summer dishes.

Other text
Winemaker Michel Fonné studied winemaking around the world before coming home to assume leadership of his uncle’s winery in 1989. Since then, Michel has become a leader in sustainable Alsatian winemaking, and his wines express this pure, unadulterated approach.

Food pairing
This subtly sweet and spicy Pinot Blanc from Alsace is the perfect foil for a mildly spiced green curry of shrimp and vegetables from my local Thai restaurant. I might also try it with Indian food — as long as it’s not too spicy — and, when I eventually get back in the kitchen to cook, pan-fried pork chops with sautéed summer squash.
